This key role is accountable for the execution of our optimisation and negotiation methodology, and will be a leading contributor to its ongoing evolution.  The role will work within the SAP practice of our Optimisation business.  The Commercial Lead will run, with the support of the Practice Manager, both projects and managed service engagements and will be responsible for service delivery and guiding the supporting team to ensure successful delivery of defined outcomes. The Commercial Lead should be able to run full projects, including their delivery.

Based upon previous experience the Commercial Lead will be a go to resource within the Livingstone Group, with regards to commercial optimisation and negotiation strategy focusing on SAP.  As a commercial lead within Optimisation, the Commercial Lead will support the Sales team in driving net new revenue as a pre-sale’s expert resource.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales team with customer-facing pre-sales assistance where required.
  • Take a leading role in specifying solutions and supporting proposals and tender responses.
  • Deliver services presentations and demonstrations, being able to differentiate service offerings at a technical level from that of our competitors.
  • Responsible for delivering chargeable services to new and existing customers, managing and/or being a key member of the service delivery.
  • Execute technical and strategic client workshops through Phase 1 of the Optimisation methodology, build coherent reporting, define and drive negotiation strategy for client engagements.
  • Build and maintain relationship with prospects and/or existing customers.

 

Experience Required

Essential

  • 5+ years commercial contract optimisation and management experience, gained within SAP commercial or contracting team or Global Licensing Service Provider.
  • Demonstratable experience of effectively managing senior relationships within blue chip companies.
  • Excellent SAP licensing knowledge, including in depth estate analysis and contractual expertise
  • Excellent commercial acumen
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching individuals and teams.
  • Excellent level of communication skills including the ability to present to both internal and external senior stakeholders.

Desirable

  • SAP Consulting and/or Technical Backgound
  • Software Asset Management experience
