What is the role?
We have an exciting new opportunity as a Business Development Representative, to join our New Business Team, with the potential to grow your career. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for their first role within Sales, so you will be an energetic and enthusiastic self-starter and eager to learn about Livingstone's unique Sales methodology. The successful candidate will be ambitious and keen to drive the new business function forward.

The purpose of the role is to book qualified meetings with international and market-leading businesses, for the Senior Sales Management team to discuss the Livingstone service proposition. You will then track and maintain customer contact and maintain their records via our internal sales system.

You will participate in sales meetings, and benefit from on-the-job sales training to maintain up to date knowledge of sales methodology, in turn enabling you to grow in capability and confidence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining a high quality sales pipeline from both cold & warm leads
  • Utilising various methods and platforms to discover & research qualified leads
  • Identifying key stakeholders within the prospective company by utilising various online platforms
  • Forging relevant and meaningful messages that engage potential clients
  • Organising meetings with said clients for the New Business Sales Team
  • Having ‘Discovery’ conversations with the client and qualify the sales opportunity

Additional Information

OTE - £42,500 per annum, basic salary - £22,500 per annum.

Essential Skills

  • A-levels or equivalent needed with a degree preferable
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English
  • Good analytic and numerical ability
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new platforms quickly and effectively
  • Understanding and ability to use a CRM, preferably experience with Hubspot
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude towards learning and an enthusiasm for learning the industry and sales cycle
  • Tenacity to meet sales meeting targets, enjoying the challenge of the role
  • Understanding of business-to-business communication skills; ability to write emails using business language and terms
